Case Studies: Graduate Assessment Exercises
The Client:
![]() |
The Primary Objective:
PwC wanted to update and enhance their graduate recruitment process to ensure that it reflected their culture and values and identified the highest quality graduates. |
Our Approach:
Having met with key stakeholders to understand the organisation and its objectives, Human Assets suggested ways to make sure that all candidates were assessed objectively and fairly. Human Assets developed bespoke exercises that were close to work samples without being specific to a particular business area. The exercises were centred on a challenging and topical business subject set within the organisation. To ensure longevity of the exercises and to avoid any 'leaking' of content between universities, Human Assets provided two equivalent versions of the exercises. Individual versions of the group exercises were also designed to enable assessment of different numbers of candidates. The exercises were piloted on recent graduate joiners. |
How Human Assets Helped:
Human Assets received feedback that hiring managers and other key stakeholders were confident that the highest quality graduates were being selected. Candidates also gained an insight into the type of work with which they might be involved as a new graduate on the scheme. |
